The University of Nairobi has emerged victorious in the 2023 CPR International Mediation Competition, which is one of the largest mediation competitions in the world hosted by Insper Instituto de Enspino e Pesuisa in Sao Paulo Brazil, from 30th April to 1st March 2023.
Lennox Kirianki emerged the best mediator in the competition. While accepting the award,  Lennox said  ''this win is such a great honor for the University of Nairobi, for Kenya, and Africa in extension''. The team of three ADR enthusiasts Mercy Maingi, Lennox Kirianki and Kellen Muguchu defied all expectations and demonstrated that they are capable of competing internationally.
The competition brought together the greatest experts and practitioners in the field of ADR who brought their wealth of experience to the participating teams. The University of Nairobi competed against 18 other teams from five different continents, including some of the best universities in the world, and emerged as the best mediating team.
The victory of the University of Nairobi is evidence to the quality of education and training that the university offers its students. It is also a proud moment for the university and a milestone in the history of ADR in Kenya and Africa. The University of Nairobi has once again proven that it is a force to be reckoned with on the global stage. We wish the team under the able leadership of Coach Dr. Wayne Mutuma all the best in their future endeavors.
Congratulations once again to the team  for the impressive win in the CPR International Mediation Competition.
